Range Rules

It is a privilege to have this range. It is not a right.  The range is on private property, Dirt Hills does not own the land the range is located on.

Please respect the land owner, his land and DHWF.

In addition to the rules posted at the Shooting range

  • All range users must have a valid DHWF membership. Only DHWF members are allowed to use this range
  • Have your membership card with you at all times
  • Be prepared to be checked by any of the DHWF directors
  • All users must sign in with Date, Name, and Membership Number
  • All users must stay on trail. DO NOT TURN IN THE FIELD AT ANY TIME. Anyone leaving trail for any reason is trespassing and will be charged. keep vehicles, children and pets out of the field.  chemicals are used with residuals and can harm them also damages the crops.
  • If trail is TO wet walk in from gate, even if the gate is not closed
  • The gate may be closed at a moment’s notice due to wet roads or other issues.
  • During farming activities; the range is CLOSED. NO ONE is allowed to use the range at any time while landowners are working during seeding, spraying or harvest.  The range could be closed at a moments notice and you could get caught driving out and it is closed.  Check in on here and Facebook prior to driving out, we try to keep in updated as quick as changes occur.
  • All users must clean up after themselves. The garbage can be put in the red bin, if it is full contact Darren at Prairie Gun Traders.
  • All members are encouraged to help keep this area clean
  • Refrain from shooting back stop posts
  • The use of the exploding targets is STRICTLY PROHIBITED
  • Solid metal targets are not recommended as they may cause a ricochet and cause injury to others. If you insist on using them, REMEMBER, you are liable for any injuries or damages that may  occur.
  • You are responsible for your actions AT ALL TIMES
  • Failure to adhere to the rules will result in loss of membership and range privileges
  • THIS IS PRIVATE LAND, IT MUST BE RESPECTED AT ALL TIME.
